Empty Midline KOK of Flowerhorn

My flowerhorn is approximately 17 months old and according to me except his midline space on head, everything is perfect. Is there any way to fulfil the empty midline area of his kok or it completely depends on his genetic origin ?
I will be too satisfied if you inform and share your experiences.

If je adapts well in that tank and eat some food that makes his pearls shine it can help in time. Ive see some fish fill that in if they are thrown around from tank to tank too much
