EMPTY TANK! (help me!)

Hello I currently have a 265 gallon aquarium. So far, I have
1 Clown Knife
1 Tinfoil Barb.
PRETTY EMPTY!
Since the tank is in the MIDDLE of the house everyone sees it! I NEED COOL/INTERESTING FISH!

WOULD THIS BE A GOOD START?
3 Tinfoils
2 Balas
3-5 Silver Dollars
1 Clown Knife
1 bichr
I'm trying to have various shoaling/schooling fish (tinfoil balas silver dollars etc.) AND oddballs (ck bichr etc.)And just neat solitary fish (dats etc.) Because it's like in the middle of the house and we want it to look VERY good and well stocked! So what would be a good assortment?

way more birchirs, they dont mind being packed in. maybe some bigger cichlids because they are personable. or what id do instead of the birchirs is a couple rays.

I would do 5 tinfoil barbs and 5 red hooks sd more bichir as said before and a couple of large growing but some what peaceful cichlids like some members of vieja sp.

skip the Balas, the school and get huge (I know you have a huge tank)

I think you should find some colorful cichlids that will be get maybe even an oscar or two rays would be awesome, I love them but not really sure what they need, if brich says they would work I would agree with him! lol

What kind of rays? (price is pretty limited lol!) Would they cause a problem with the knife? I dont really have alot of experience with rays...

Tinfoil barbs are good.

rays are fine with clowns. Its usually cat fish ive ran into trouble keeping with rays because they both sit on the bottom of the tank. If your going to get rays make sure you get yea something like and oscar or gar or something that wont be sitting on the bottom. My gar floats around the top.
