I'm selling one of my herps so I'm going to have an empty 40 gallon breeder tank. Not sure what to put in it, but I was thinking maybe a green terror? Can one live in there for life? Filters will be two Eheim Ecco Comfort Series Canister Filters so filtration won't be a problem. Ideas will be appreciated.

I was thinking one gt will be fine, as I have two canister filters that will be runnning with it. So stunting isn't a problem. But I was wondering what else can go in the 40 gallon, besides the gt. Also, how fast do green terrors grow?
Green terror is fine in a 40 breeder especially with that kind of filtration. Personally I would probably keep a pair in that but I'm sure some will disagree. GT's only get 8" Everything Ive read says they are rather slow grower but I cant really give you a time frame
In my opinion yes. I don't see any reason why not. Sounds like the tank will be very well filtered and like I said green terrors max out at around 8" with the females staying a little smaller. People keep pairs in 55 all the time I would actually think the 40 breeder might be even better for them giving them more room to turn around because it is wider than a 55 would be.
