I'm attempting to build a light hanger out of EMT and was wondering if there any expert benders out there that could give me some pointers. I have the material and the bender from Lowes, but the instruction are very confusing. My plan is to have the EMT come up the back of the tank and then a horse shoe above the tank to hang the lights from. Not sure if it matters but this is for a 75g with a Tek T5 six bulb fixture.

Everything is finished! Tank is successfully converted back to FW and up and running. Here's a few pictures to give you an idea of how the EMT light hanger looks. I'll take some better ones later on. A lot of people use the retractable light hangers, but I used chain to make it look a little more monsterish for my mini monsters that will be inhabiting the tank. I also incorporated my return line as a spray bar which works amazing to move water across the tank and may be something all you reefers should look into.

Looks good:thumbsup: from your description I envisioned two separate conduits with "horseshoes" The way you did it looks clean.

Thanks, I'm not the best DIY'er either but I got the bends right the first time around. Last project is to fill the sump full of media which I haven't decided on.

Thanks guys.

Looks great, nice setup!
