Ok, i finally finished the build of my Black throat enclosure, but i am stuck on this whole hidden wire lighting thing. I bought three plugs at lowes, that you unscrew and there are three screws that you rap the wires around. well there is a silver screw, a green screw, and a copper screw? and i also got some ceramic light buld holder things.. there round..

anyway, how do i wire the light bulb holder thing to the plugs? and what type of wire should I get? Also where do you find 45-75 watt out door halogen bulbs that actually give off heat? i broke down and bought three friggen light bulbs from petco and cost me 65 bucks:nilly:
have the recipt though:D

so anyway I am stuck, I need some help, preferably pictures with step by step guide, as I am illiterate lol

yeah^^^ will the cord be able to come out of the cage above the fixture or are you going to stack something flat on top of the cage.

yeah, got 4 of those jason,
and some black plugs that you unscrew the back and there are three screws, a gold, a silver and a green. but I already wired them, the guy from lowes told me to cut an extention cord, match black wire with gold screw, white wire with silver screw and green wire with green screw... it works..

For a black throat you want to build that electrical element on bank. With three or four the animal should be able to get a steady heating /basking site to fit the entire length and width of the animal.

i was using using 150 watt halogen bulbs for my blackthroat in closure (4x4x8) 3 feet from the bulb i was able to achieve 105 degrees with it up to 125 a a little closer! they like it hot! 4x4x8 was way to small though. i felt bad so eventually sold it to a guy in az who had a 10x16 out door enclousure.

varanio, I have a total of 4 90 watt outdoor halogen bulbs, my monitor is only about 25" right now, i have room to add more bulbs if needed.

Im interested in the answer because I will be building a custome cage and I plan on buying that exact fixture.
