Hi All

I have a 25 gallon tank. I am currently keeping a pair of Sajica. They have bred successfully in the past. Had to move them around a bit and now got them by themselves again hoping for a successful spawn.

They were fine for a few days then started to act very skittish. So i covered the back and the sides with a background, swapped the white sand for black gravel and added some bogwood. Did this cos I thought the bright light was making them skittish and they may have felt a bit exposed.

Since then, more normal behaviour. They're constantly going through the actions of breeding - lip-locking, tail slapping etc but have not done the deed. I have a pot and slate in the tank. Any advice on how to increase chances of breeding? I conducted a large WC last night and temp is about 28C.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks.

Feed live/meaty foods like beefheart, bloodworms, earthworms, etc and do water changes ever other day or so with slightly cooler water than what is in the tank. Patience is also very important!
