I have a 5” endi in a grow out tank and need it to be around 9” to move it to the display tank. How long roughly will that take?. It’s in a 55 amd eating silversides and tilapia for now

1-2 in per month with proper care. Can always vary but I’d say by 4 months or sooner it’ll be 9inches.
Welcome from Tempe! I agree with this quote. After that they really slow down on growth. Mine are 12 to 14 inches now. I got them 7 years ago at about 2 inches, they still had gills on them. They love to pile up right in the middle of the tank. Pic below:
