I recently bought a second endi to mix with my previous one, and an ornate. Itd been about five days, and of course i check on them daily, when i noticed the new endis tail is a little torn up. It almost looks like he was bitten by one of the others, but they had held on (its almost like a bite mixed with a scrape). When i got the first one i had some smaller cichlids in the tank and their fins would have the same wounds, but then would heal up. With the cichlids it would happen every now and then and was never a serious injury and eventually stoped all together. Now im worried about the new endi, seeing how theyre quite expensive and hard to find out here, plus theyre just cool. Is there anything i can do just incase to help them not bite each other, ie hiding places or more feeding. I know theres some trick for things like pike cichlids etc so im just wondering. Also i noticed this bite 2 days ago, and it hasnt gotten worse, i waited to post just incase.

like you already wrote yourself, get some more hiding places. mine also bite eachother but when they can quickly move into hiding, there will not be any serious injuries. at least, thats what ive experienced so far.
