Endlers livebearer

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well there's a size difference to begin with, an endler female grows smaller than a female guppy.

You asked the same question on Monday!

Endler's livebearer is Poecilia wingei and a guppy is Poecilia reticulata, both are in the same genus but they are different species and will cross breed with each other.

What are your plans for either species? If just using for feeding other fish it won't matter. If you are looking to breed for sale, choose one or the other and verify your source for the fish.

Actually I'm planning to breed the fish not for sale either but for fun
I'm noy getting any endler female here in my place
The shop owner told me endler breed with regular guppy female but I came to know that will produce cross breeds I was wondering how to keep the endlers authentic

You will need to purchase true endler's livebearers from someone that can actually prove or guarantee that there has been no cross breeding with other species. Maybe a local hobbyist near your location or you can try and order online.

You can also visit an online forum specializing in endler's livebearers for more information if you are interested in keeping the species.
