What are your thoughts on "Endless Ocean" (crappy North American title)/"Forever Blue" (Japanese/European title), the scuba-diving video game for Nintendo's Wii? It's been out in Japan for a while, since earlier this month in Europe, and, after a several-month delay, it'll be released in North America at the end of January. "Endless Ocean" was supposed to come out here at the end of October, and I'm chomping at the bit to actually be able to play it. Less than two months to go!
"Endless Ocean" kind of defies explanation; you have certain goals, but much of the game involves simply exploring the ocean, discovering new places and sealife. A lot of people who've heard about it seem to think that it's too "slow" to be any fun, but, for me, I think it's going to be perfect -- a great way to relax at the end of the day. I hope to experience a similar feeling to real-life diving... that peace, that tranquility... without having to lug out all my gear. =)
There are tons of animals in "Endless Ocean," including sharks, and I was pleased to note that the sharks aren't being portrayed as aggressive. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there's a zebra shark!
