Endli and Lap price

How much do endlicheris and lapradei bichirs generally cost? There were several unlabeled polys at a LFS I went to, and I believe they had those species. The most expensive one was $40, but I think that was actually just a senegal. The others were less.
I'm not entirely confident in my identification, but they were definitely not all senegals, and it seems like a low price.

i got my lap for 20 bucks at around 9" and endlichirs are running around 70-80 right now

How big were they? Price definitely depends on location. I just got an 11" Lap for $79. A while back I got a 3" Endli for $34.

You don't need a huge tank. bigger is always better but anything beyond 18"x3' tank should be good for one.

My Lapradei is 13" and I could comfortably add 2 more polys in my 90.

They are smaller in the aqua hobby, somewhere between 12"-18". If they ever do get bigger, it'll be a while. It's in the wild where they can grow huge, over 30" lol!

75 will be big enough. That's if you have to have one big one lol.

I mean you will need a bigger tank, but it will be a long time before it starts to get tight in the 75. When they start bulking up instead of being skinny lil bastards lol.

the differene between bichirs and other large fish is that most bichirs hardly move. I have a 15" female endli in my 75g and she is doing fine and growing. Check out toyin at rehobothaquatics, he has large, wild caught bichirs at awesome prices
