okay for mnths my endli and ornate have been fine with all my fish. then about 2 weeks ago they bit up a ray and then after that were fine again... this week they have attacked a clown loach about every day that i have to rip out of there mouth luckly alive then out of no were my gar got one... so idk wa was going on the loaches had been a lil lazy.... n then today they got one while i was away at class. ripped a loach up =( has any one ever had this happen ?

Bichirs love loaches. Even if you think they are too big for them to swallow, they will try anyway. Not a good mix.
if they are too big to eat they will be fine. mine are fine with mine loaches.Freddie Mercury;4469312; said:
Mixing different fishes in a community tank is a sight to behold.But you should mix fishes whose size approximate each other especially if you have predatory fishes like bichirs in your community tank.Bichir's tankmates should not fit in their mouth to avoid predation.
