I bought two baby endlis a week ago. Both were about 2".
After one week and about half a dozen zebra danios/rosey reds, one has out grown the other by a long shot. Also, the weak one is getting beaten up by the stronger.
It has a severely shredded pectoral fin & caudel fin.

I should mention the first 2-3 days I tried to feed them bloodworms and sinking hikari pellets, neither of them are the least bit interested.

The weak one is getting skinny... I fear it is close to the point of no return.
Any ideas how I can entice it to eat?

Your best bet is to separate them. Endli's can be pretty aggressive toward each other when young. Beef the weak one up in a 10g tank, feeding it twice daily, and return it once it has caught up.

yea i'm having a hard time feeding mine too...i have tried froozen bloodworms, pellets, massivorie, and some other shrimp like ones (cuz i had them) now live blackworms because i see they like those. He might be eatting some but deffinately not a ton by anymeans. I had him in a tote by himself with medafix however his fins are basically recovered (he was beaten up before that) i know i'm prob gonna get yelled at for this...i just put him in a 20 with some zebra plecos. They are also really shy and i figure the caves and stuff and him being in another room that i don't bother will allow him to relax a lil. he's about 3 inches long and the smallest plecos are 1.5/6 inches long. however, he was in with a baby red rosie for like a week and didn't touch him. when i put him in the tank he went back and hid from me behind a cave with some of the other plecos. So i'm thinking he's just super peaceful/shy for a bichir so putting in a spot with fish of the same tempermant would be good for awhile...obviously if he starts to grow he's coming right out lol. but 1 hour in the experiment all is well and based on mouth size etc...i don't expect him to even try to go at any of the plecos. I am a lil concerned about them sucking on him...but he seems to be fine next to the larger one and happy to be there honestly. I guess my run on paragraph is to say if he's that weak seperate him and give him a place to hid and spot feed him you can. Seems like the best option for me, and probably you.
