I have a motoro stingray that is aprox 7 inches from head to tail and i want to get a endli bichir about 6-7 inches so i was wondering if the bichir will hurt my motoro. the motoro is currently in a 180 gal tank with 2 silver arowanas that are around 20 inches and a 5 inch peacock bass. Do you think it will be ok to have the endli and ray together? thank you for your help.

my endlis do fine with my ray i have 6-7" ray and 8" endli and 9 6" endli together

I'll be caution with the endli when it grow. Let the motoro grow at about 12"+ in diameter as the ray's tail still skinny at that size and the disk movement will attract the endli and start biting it. It will stress out the ray and might die. It will be fine for now till the endli out grows the stingray. Adult rays are fine but juvie rays are not safe with sub-adult bichirs. I used to have motoros in my tank as well and they all got killed by my bichirs.

Endli might become a snack to one of your arowana also.

it should be fine, way back then i had a foot long bichir with a teacup stingray about 4 to 5 inches on the disk and they never bother each other.

however I had another ray with a longfish, one day I woke up and found the half of the tail of the stingray was gone and got ate by the longfish! :-(

Depends on the fish of course. I don't risk it myself. Poly tank - ray tank. Works perfect.
