Endli Choking??

I just fed my fish frozen-thawed cut prawn and the endli 8" grabbed one of pieces that I had put at the eels end of the tank. Its larger than the pieces I cut for him and just fits in his mouth.I have to go to work soon. Just wondering if I should do pull it out before he chokes???

most bichirs will be able to swallow larger pieces but in a few seconds thirty max. but just to make it easier cut all of the shrimp small enough for the bichir to swallow

Yeah he had it in his mouth for around 10 minutes. I've removed the piece and cut it smaller.
