I picked up 2 bichirs, P.Endli and P.Delhezi

For some reason they were put in the same bag. Probably should have said something, but we showed up 10 minutes before closing as I live 2 hours from my "local"FS so I didnt want to upset anyone.

Anyhow, the Delhezi is about 4" long and the Endli is 1"1/2. They are both in a community tank of golden wonders, angels, clown loaches, tetras, albino pleco and corydoras. Nothing bigger than 5" at most--minus the ropefish i cannot seem to catch

I feed them one a week a frozen brine and bloodworm mixture and nothing gets left behind. The other days I feed with algae wafers, sinking carnivore pellets and TetraColor Crisps. Delhezi eats just fine, but the Endli isnt even budging.

I have multiple bichirs, 3 P.Senegalus (1 is albino), 1 P.Ornate that have all grown up this way, in the community tank, to my monster tank Arowana and TSN.

I need to know if there is something special about Endli that I missed when researching on them. He hides all day and all night, have to move some of the driftwood i have in the tank to find him under it. Doesnt even seem interested in food at all.

SOS. Please.

mine did that too... took about 2 weeks for him/her to start eating... even then it was super slow at it and didnt really show as much interest as the larger guys... i actually didn't witness it trying to eat until this morning...

~2 inch endli finally eats chopped up massivore..

if worse comes to worse just feed it part of a minnow... they seem to like that alot more than the pellets..

try silversides, but I would remove those plecos and angel fish. As soon as your endli grows up, then any smaller tankmates could end up as his meals.
