The LFS FINALLY got in a poly. Problem is its a roughly 8" by 2" girth Endli. They are wanting 80 for it if I buy it today, but said tomorrow it will be in their system and cost 120. How big a risk is it to put an endli that size with 4"-5" bichirs. I realize they would be alot smaller, but is there a high probability of the Endli looking at them as snacks?

My 9 inch endli just ate my 5inch albino lonfin senegal last night. Damn pricey feeders. I wouldnt do it if I were you.
Definitely sounds like a situation I want to avoid. I'll go look at it tomorrow just to see it. Besides the other LFS is ordering me some retropinnis, buetikofferi and delhezi next week. So maybe those will be more my size.
I went up and saw the endli. Looks great. BUT too big to go with my others right now. Maybe next time they will get some smaller ones...just sux that they finally got some and I can't get it.
Which sucks more.... having to wait a bit to get the right sized fish or making a post telling everyone how your new Endli just cleaned out your tank?

So you need to bury this thinking as it will happen when all the variables line up otherwise you end up talking yourself into making a choice your other fish will suffer for.
Trust me as I thought the same thing when I was trying to put together a mail order and the vendor sold them before I could get it all together. 1 week later I had 2 in my tank that a friend that works at one store found in another store that i never go to....

Kinda funny story, I had been begging the stores to get some in and finally one of them broke down and decided to order some for me. THEN I get the email about the endli at ANOTHER store that had all but refused to order any at all. When it rains it pours....
