came from LFS that most likely got from a farm in asia...

seems stunted...

swims erratically , found him wedged in the python yesterday...

i’ve been dosing epson salt as i had no other ideas....

found him like this, was gonna net him out and put in a breeder box to monitor but vigorously swam off...

ideas?

I’d separate and keep the water level low so it can rest on its belly and try to stay upright. Give it a day and see if things improve. Cont with epsom salt. Just to clarify was it doing this behavior after getting stuck in the python?

it’s been swimming erratic for some time... i’ve read maybe an air bubble?

I doubt an air bubble. Should be floating more than what i see in the vid. Too long of a time period. Eventually should pass. Could be just a bad farm bred endlicheri.

that’s what i was thinking, poor genetics.... it’s pretty stumpy and not really growing at the same rate as others... it’s got fish MS or something?

little endli is special needs....

he was not like this early on... i wonder he got injured... watching him flail about is painful....

he’s not growing with the rest...

if he gets skinny i’ll either re home to special needs bichir rescue or put him in a 20g long solo as he seems to be 3”-4” still...

back surgery? poor little endli...

i’m sure it’s eating something... i’m going to start watching more closely, the auto feeder goes off at night as it seems everyone likes to eat in the dark...

i’d put some tilapia in before posting and it swam for it but just ended up with that corkscrew maneuver all over the tank...

i’m clearing out a 20g long for it...
