endli tankmate

Thanks to an offer i couldn't refuse, I'm getting an endli. My question is the endli is 5" and my black aro is 4.5-5". Can I put them together? I've had delhezi before and know what they are capable of and how big their mouths get, but never had an endli before. I've seen crazy ass photos of ornates eating other polys half their sizes and just afraid that endli are as crazy as ornates.

But is the endli as crazy as ornates? There is no way a 5" endli can eat my 5" black without choking, but I'm just afraid the endli might still try. I heard endli are lazy ***.

I've never had an Ornate that tried to eat another bichir only Endli and Congicus. My 17" Endli at 10" ate 2-3 of its sibbling that were 6"-7".

Don't you remember that photo of the ornate poly choking itself to death on a common senegal? It was posted on here somewhere. Anyways at 10" and it ate another 7" poly, I think I'm putting him by himself.

BTW Hao, what you think about this endli? I \'m picking him up tommorrow.

My endli had no problem eating a 6"-7". Now it is good girl, doesn't eat smaller fish.

I think you should be alright. I know blacks aren't supposed to grow as fast as the silvers, but he should grow along with the endli at a decent rate. I had more problems with my old ornate than I did with my two endli.

Actually Black Aro's growth can be similar to a Silver Aro up to a certain size like 12"-15" then it slows down. The endli looks good,get it!

I believe blacks get up to 14" and then slow down, silvers on the other hand slow down around 20-22". Both aros grow 1-2" per month when small.

Yeh its somewhere around there, just depends on many factor like tank size,water condition,diet,temp and stuff.
