Would Ropefish be able to survive with endli's? I am contemplating getting a small endli to add in with my senegals, ornate, delhezi and ropes, but don't want to doom the fish to a short life.

I have a pair of ropes in with my endlis. Originally I had 3, but the larger endli killed one the first night, and realized they weren't good eating and has left the others alone.

Although it works, I would prefer to keep my ropes seperate from my polypterus, but I can't right now.

Any particular reason you would want the ropes seperate? Are most bichirs too rough for them?

Mainly contrast in girth, but I also would prefer to keep them in a planted tank.

i'd try a lap they don't get as big but its still pushing it it would work or it wouldn't

Possibly but no guarantee. Large poly's might try to eat any fish that will fit in their mouth, so it may or may not work.

different fish different temperament.

make sure ropes got plently of hidding spaces if u do want to mix :)
