endlicheri bichir nutrition

I have an endlicheri bichir that eats only every other day. The only thing it eats are live earth worms. Is it getting enough nutrition or should I worry? Is it going to have health problems because of this? It will not eat pellets, blood worms or krill. I don't put feeders in my tank.

^ yes worms alone can not and will not provide their complete nutritional needs. feed pellets, silversides, and market shrimp . feed a varied diet to keep them healthy

I have never had a problem with getting a bichir to eat pellets. Have you tried dropping some pellets in when the lights are out?

And, as mentioned, bichirs love shrimp.
