i would say no, but it's more about girth than length. keep them well fed and i think you will be ok.

So if I don't feed my polys well enough then the endlis will attempt/try to eat my delhezis correct?

always the chance. my polys all seem lazy because i have a fairly significant size difference between largest and smallest and i haven't had any get eaten (knock on wood). i feed them pretty well though. it's about girth though, not length.

if the delhezis fat enough then i would say no. but if it looks like the endli can open its mouth as wide as the delhezi. then it can be eaten. ive gotten a lot of endlis cannabalized by bigger ones.

Q.Can a 24" endli eat a 12" delhezi? I know endlis have big mouths
A.yes it can.Its one of the reasons I don't recomend mixing larger lower jaw
with smaller upper jaw species-Anne

I've seen tanks where smaller Polys are in with larger Polys, but they always seem to be raised together, but there's always a risk, IMO.

I agree with Ben and King, there is big risk but it can be done with a little luck.

If you're feeding a good ammount and keep your bichirs thick but not fat, you'll be okay.

When I feed my bichirs get lumps in their belly but almost look thin by next day (weather is warming up in socal so they have to breach for air more often).

My largest bichirs are 11" laps, and my smallest is a 4" ornate, crazy I know, but I had to mix them in an emergency. The ornate goes at the food with all the big boys with no second thoughts and all is okay.

Now if my 10" plus bichirs were aggressive, this would be impossible, but mine seem to be fairly placid and more interested in massivore and tilapia than their tiny roommates.
