I have a 120g tank with a 9" oscar, convict, and an 11" endlicheri endlicheri. I got another endli but its only about 7" or so. Needless to say, the larger one tried to eat the smaller repeatedly. I moved the smaller one to a 20 long tank (my qt, the only one without edible critters). I plan on feeding the new guy daily and keeping the tank a bit warmer while maintaining an every other day to once every 3 day feeding schedule for the 120g. Think there is any chance thelittle guy will grow enough for me to try and reintroduce him to the 120g? How long do you think I can keep it in the 20 long safely before I have to figure out what to do? All help is appreciated. Thanks

u can keep in the 20 gal till he gets a inch or 2 under the width of the tank like from back to front not side to side. i would just power feed him on meaty foods and pellets and try to get some more hideing spots in the larger tank that the big endli cant get into. but thats all u really can do other than give him away or sell him.

I had the same problem I did what you did they were seperated for about 2 months then I took all the fish out of my larger tank and rearanged the tank and added new decor more hiding places new back ground and then put them all back in the same take at the same time.kept the lights out for a week and put in a differant shade of light blue green 15 watt bulbs, mind you that I have a bigger tank and all Polypterus in the tank. not a problem since 8 years now. there are 8 Bichirs Lower jaw species.
