A local fish store that has never had any polys in as long as I can remember finally got some in. They have Ornates and Endlis. Endli's are $59 I have no idea how to tell if they are farm raised or wild. What do they look like if they are farm? I have only seen pictures online never saw one in person before. They have 5 of them sitting in a tank with rocket gars. Laying on the bottom motionless with a sign that says don't tap on glass.. They have stripped pattern. Is that a decent price? I always wanted to get one, they are about 6'' long, and my best guess of where they would be from tfdfish.
The worker said they were eating live, they looked aweful inactive. Are they just like that?
Also is the stripped pattern a what you see is what you get? Same as delhezi? Sorry for all the questions..I was just real excited to see something so cool at my lfs.
Ornates seemed like a rip though $90 for a 6''. Good thing I already have 2!
Sorry for all the questions.

The price isn't too bad considering you never see them in your area. If you plan on ordering more than one, ordering online might be a good idea.

Endli for the most part are inactive until feeding time. They will move around from time to time to a find a new spot to chill, but they are known for being logs.

All bichir pattern is WYSIWYG, except for the striipes on baby senegalus, that fades.

Yea they seemed like logs, I wanted to get one. Maybe I should just wait till it gets warm out again and give toyin a call.:naughty:
Its going to be in the teens in temp these next few weeks, so I don't think shipping is a great idea.
I think I will take another hard look at them and see if there is one that catches my eye(with a pattern I like), otherwise I will just put it off till spring, or at least until they won't come in 15 degree weather and get myself a nice one.

how big are they ?
They were decent size I'd say 5-7inches approximately?? Maybe not that big, I actually was just shocked to see them to be honest. There is a new fish store in town and it is really nice, I think the old one had to step up there game and switch things up from their bread and butter. To try and keep up.

Hey RockBass! I live in Cleveland and I just ordered fish from Toyin got my fish today . you can go to the Airport and pick up your fish if you want a Poly. it is safer because it is one stop Texas then Cleveland Airport ,e there to pick it up it is warm in the parcel pickup plus Toyin is a graet packer and he has heat packs but I do wait till WE GET WARM WEATHER. all of my Bichirs are from Toyin 24 of them except for 1
