I would like to know what are the different variants of the very popular Polypterus Endlicheri Endlicheri, the different volta variants and Guinea variants to be exact. At present, the only volta and Guinea variants that I know of is the black volta and the Tikinso Guinea variants.I have heard that there are also red volta variant and gold Guinea variant. If these variants really exists in its native African waters, does anyone from our expert bichir keepers know the collection points of these endli variants and if these 2 endli variants really exists in the African continent. Thanks to all who will be answering my inquiry.God bless!

The Volta Endlies are the same fish.
Just caught in different tributaries or the Volta River.
There are 3 tributaries, Black Volta, White Volta and Red Volta.
From what I have heard the average "Volta" Endli is most likely caught from the White Volta.
Gold Guinea does not exist AFAIK.

here are some shots of my Guinea

Thanks guys.

Yes I really liked this piece of driftwood also but I took it out awhile ago and replaced it with some other deco and plants that didn't take up as much floor space. I'm tempted to put it back sometimes.

I wish I had some volta so i could post some comparison pics.
That Driftwood looks killer X-ray.....
