On monday I'm introducing an Polypterids Endlicheri endlicheri to my pair of Channa Aurantimaculata in a 720liter tank, the channas are pretty aggressive so my question is, will it work? or should I even bother to try?

Bichirs should really be kept with NON-agressive species.Since you know the channas
are agressive I wouldn't even bother to try -Anne

Hello,

i'm keeping bichirs & channa together but ...

Not every specieas of Channa is a good choice! For me it works well with Channa gachua and Channa pulchra (every specimen in another tank!) - these species are growing not as big as C.aurantimaculata to name one species and the one you are keeping. Those species are also not as aggressive.

But the biggest problem: You are keeping a PAIR of C.aurantimaculata!

ALL fish in the tank are sentenced to death when breeding begins, often the killing starts before breeding! With breeding in mind Channa are the most deadly fish you can keep in a tank!!!
Channa are able to kill fish that are bigger than the Channa is - and they are sooo fast in action ...

If you love your endli ... separate!

Greetings
