what is it with these damn bichirs and eating flagtails. i just caught my lil endli trying to eat my flagtail. when i got my first endli it ate both of my small flagtails. it doest bother anyother fish just them. whats the deal ??????????

what is it with these damn bichirs and eating flagtails. i just caught my lil endli trying to eat my flagtail. when i got my first endli it ate both of my small flagtails. it doest bother anyother fish just them. whats the deal ?????????? 
2 things may be happening.....
1. the flag tails are bite size and anything that can fit in the bichirs mouth is at risk.
2. the flag tails may be sucking the slime off the bichir and it is getting mad and sucking him back

bichir is only 4 inch and flagtail is arround 4 inch flagtail has more than enough algae to eat and doesnt go near the bottom tank really
yoz...u seem like a sensible enough guy. the endli is a predator. are u blaming your fish for being a carnivore?
Came into work this morning to find that I was short one 4.5" pbass and had one VERY happy 10" Endlicheri!
My bad because I underestimated the endli's girth. I thought he was to small weight wise to bother the pbass. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to go separate the rest of them!
