Enlish is not my mother tongue. I am just wondering what it means having contact with someone. DOes being at the same place as the same time such as church count as having contact ? Does walk passing someone on the street count as contact ?

Or is contact only when two people actually have a conversation ?

Just wondering because i read somewhere. 'you will have contact with her before the end of the year"

having contact with someone means the contact was either verbal or physical pretty much

but it depends on the context of the question. you can make eye contact without touching or talking

that i donMt know it just says i see you having contact with her before the end of the year and some months later email/phone calls. I was wondering it was verbal or just being at the same place at the same time like bumping into each other.

It sounds like you're referring to verbal contact, you can contact someone by phone, e-mail, text, letter etc., not only conversation.
