I picked up two of these at the local reptile show for a steal.

I have no idea what sexes so I am going to get some pics later.

What would be a good size tank for them? I have a spare 55 gal in the basement or I have a couple 15's that are empty as well.

I know nothing about leopard geckos but will be reading all morning to see what I need to do. They were originally bought for the pet store my sister works at but I decided to keep them and maybe get into leopard geckos a bit more :-)

Any advice is appreciated

55g will definitely work, but is a little more space than 2 require. You could fit them in a 20gL for life. A lot of people say they are boring, and they may be right, but I think they're super personable when they do come out. Mine come out every evening time when they know I'm going to either mist them or feed them. When I mist them they act like a cat that is having it's back rubbed, they arch up in the air and do this weird walk around the the tank.

I've found their holding temperaments to vary. One of mine is as chill as can be when I hold it but the other is not a big fan. It never bites me, and when it finds out there's no escape it calms down but you better not give it the chance or its gone. The cats already watch it with hungry eyes.

Here's a pic of my 20gL for them

2 warm hides on left, the mid temp hide underneath and there's 2 cool hides on the right. I add some dried moss that I spray down every day to make a moist hide when one looks like it's going to shed.

Enigmas seem to be more edgy and flighty is from what I have heard. Not quite sure why but I have read from a few breeders that have said this. If they are a boy and a girl you could make some serious cash by breeding them. They are pretty much one of the only leopard gecko morphs that people will pay hundreds of dollars for. So if you got them for a steal that is great!

yep thats not too unusual. reptile expos and stuff like that have quality breeders that dont necessarily do it for profit, they do it for the love of the hobby. great pickup

My friend picked up an enigma for $30 at a show a few months ago and it's a total spaz.

Engima hatchlings are very loud and scream about everything you will find I guess. They also have a lot of birth defects as well. I have seen videos of hatchlings that all they do is walk in circles.
