I have a 125 gallon tank. filtration is 1 350 gallon per hour powerhead with sponge filter, 1 250 gallon per hour sponge filter, 1 marineland 360 canister, and a POS tetra hob. the bio load is 2 10 inch oscars, 1 5 inch jaguar, 1 7 inch bullhead, 1 12 inch pacu, and 2 6 inch common plecos. it has been running for about 3 months and stays pretty clean....but what do you guys think?????

you got some messy fish in there i say you need ore mechainical filtration really soon.

Well visually you will be able to tell if the mechanical filtration is enough. As far as biological filtration, what are you water parameters telling you? You do test you water parameters, right?

yeah water parameters check fine i use the master test kit and params are ammonia 0 nitrites 0 and nitrates are 40 somthing ppm. im doing a weekly 55% - 60% water change.

Well it looks as if you have adiquate filtration as of now. Of course the fish are growing, some will even outgrow the tank, so you may have to add more later.

yeah the pacu is headed for a 9 foot indoor pond (stock tank)with my rtcxtsn hybrid
