I just want some opinions regarding my filtration. Anyways I have an RBP, clown knife, Peacock bass, 2 silver dats, 2 indos, pleco, and an ugly catfish. All of them are 6 inches or smaller. I will add a couple of thinbars, 2 NGTs, and 2 widebars if there are sources.

I am currently running 2 penguin 350s and a Jebo CSF4 canister. I am thinking of adding another canister so I well end up with 2 HOB and 2 canister filters on a 60 gallon tank. Would that be enough filtration for the current bunch? Future stock? Which canister would you suggest as a second canister?

By the way, I couldn't get a bigger tank because I live in an apartment, All of my fishes will probably be sold once they had reached a length of 12 inches.

You have plenty of filtration for a 60 gallon tank without adding another canister. You would be a LOT happier with a pair of E400's or even a single E400 with supercartrages than the penguins. (I run a number of both.)

I can't really recomend adding any more stock to that tank. As it is your bio-load is going to continually grow with the fish.

Thanks! What's an e400? Emperor 400?

yes....Much larger bio-wheels and the dual pump/spray bar is a great advance. I find that they cycle faster and that bio-wheel stalls are a thing of the past. With the SC's in place of the factory media theres a lot more bio-capacity and no more pad to buy.

an ugly catfish

is this its scientific name?

:D

^ I'll try to get a photo and I'm sure you will agree and ugly catfish should be its scientific name. :)

aqua clear!!

If your nitrite and ammonia test at 0 you have enough filtration.

Unfortunately, my test kits were out 4 weeks ago so I just do 2 times per week water changes of about 33% of tank level.

Maybe I will just save up for an fx5... that should do the trick right?
