Like the title states will an aquatop cf-500 uv and an ac110 be enough filtration for a 5x2x2 150 gallon tank? It equals out to about 6.83x turn over rate and 1025 gph.

Probably enough ,but another hob or a sponge filter might be good insurance

I think that is gonna be tight, I would add another filter as your stock is quite high. I guess if they are all gowouts it will be enough in the beginning but I would plan to add something else later on as they grow.

Didnt see "few others down the road."

An additional eheim or fx5 will probably cover everyone

So if I got an fx5 from the beginning plus the ac 110 would it be enough? I was kinda hoping I wouldn't have to spend the $300+ dollars on an fx5 but I will if I need too

I also have an emperor 400 but I hate it...

I'd go with an FX-5 and AC110 from the start. You can find an FX-5 (new) for under $300 at Www.thatpetplace.com or look for a used one on here or CraigsList or AquaBid. You shouldn't have much trouble finding one used in the $150-$200 range. Hope that helps.
