Well soon i will get my oscar i want to know if he/she has enough oxygen so far i have crazy ass filter which i can't adjust flow it is meant for a 800L tank but there no such thing as over doing it and i have 2 airstones one of the stones is about 15-20cm and the other 2-3 cm is that enough??? oh by the way i ahve a 55G or a 60G not sure really.

Give us the exact inside dimensions of the tank in centimetres or inches. Then, head on up to the top of the forum and look to the left where it says 'Conversion'. The rest is incredibly self explanitory.

Your tank also have PLENTY of aeration.

enough oxygen would be ur surface water being stirred around by your filter o's dont like a lot of current at the bottom so check that out any airstones will help oxygen along with maybe some live plants if u intend to shall also help live plants are hard if u dont have the right setup so do some research and your o will do great... my green saums have a similiar setup minus the stones and the spawn regularly i truely believe haveing a planted tank for south and central americans is the way to go eco complete substrate is second to none and grows plants like no other look into a nice floral bulb lots of blues and reds.. if u intend to keep your setup the way it is yes he will do just fine

It's true that you can't really have so much filtration that it's bad but you CAN have way more than you need for any given situation. If you have your power meter spinning like helicopter blade and your only running a 60 gallon tank...then you might want to rethink your filtration a bit....

Thats only the water flow you can see....There are a LOT of flow patterns going on in any given tank.
