I have a large tank with gray gravel. I'm not sure what kind of habitat to make or what fish to add. What are some ideas of habitats that I could make. I was thinking some sort of water rapids (fast flowing) like that in the amazon, but im not sure what it looks like beneath those rapids.

what are your tank dimensions? Longer tanks generally make for good river set-ups

6ft long 18 inches wide. I just kind of need help on how I would setup up flow and pictures of others established river setups would help.

It would depend on what fish you intend to have.
If you had fish of the genus Retroculus, a rapids tank would be appropriate, but other fish that live in Amazonian oxbows, or flooded forest would be stressed out by the current in a rapids tank. We need more info about stock before a determination could be suggested.
