Hey all just purchased my first arowana yesterday and it was doing well, and i wake up to him this morning half eaten, eyes gone. i was like WTF!!! this really ruined my morning...=/. so i might go get another one but may put him in a tank of his own till he grows bigger. just wondering what happened over night. because i put him in for a good 5-6 hrs. and all the other fish were treating him nicely.....? which is odd. who do you guys think got him?

I have 5convicts
2 flowerhorns
Lima Shovernose
Stripped raphael
a overgrown minnow fish or somthing never got ID on him (cam with convict rescue)
Common Pleco.

If i get another one im probably gonna be putting him in a tank of his own for a while till he grows to a good size.

I second the above post

what size is the aro and what size is your lima cat? i have a silver and lima too but my silver is bigger than my lima. if the silver was to small im pretty sure it was the lima, if not it was the flowerhorns for sure. just make sure the aro is alot bigger next time.

yea i know weird, the biggest flower horn 7inch is really dosile i used to keep her with guppies and platys with no prob, the little one one the other hand is like 2 inches but is a little crazy but i didn't think that crazy cause he actually gets picked on by the rest.

the silver was 2" maybe still a small juvi, the lima is around 5.5". thats what i was thinking too...=/

wow 2" inches what were you thinking? they probably thought the aro was some guppies, how can a small aro defend its self? you should consider buying a jar they are tough and will fight back
