Cool. I will try to upgrade mine to 75g as soon as I find a cheap tank for sale. my 30g is too small for my liking. Oyster reef tanks are the way to go. so much live there.
 
Wow. So natural. I wonder if they put a bunch of stuff in the water to harvest pearls! $$$$$$$
 
I'd bet that without a natural and readily available source of water for changes, this would be rather difficult with a number of live oysters taking up the calcium and nutrients, unless you went in the path of doing nearly all fake oysters like in the video. Cool concept nonetheless.

I've thought of doing this style setup for redfish and striped bass

Or could just have an auto-doser for the calcium and any other additives they would need, like many reef keepers do
