These are the same fish as the salwater Lancelotus Grouper and they get huge. I am anxious to see how long these juveniles will last in freshwater and I am not willing to take the $450.00 plunge without knowing. No one that I talk to can give me a straight answer. I bet you can buy a juvenile saltwater Lancelotus and convert it to freshwater for a fraction of the cost. But sooner or later I'm betting that it will need to go into full saltwater. I think it is a big scam in my opinion to make a quick buck. Honestly, think about it. Do you think that all of a sudden someone found a new freshwater species that has been around all this time and someone just happened to come across it? I don't think so. That fish is to pretty and big for it to go unoticed for all these years. Just like the Panther grouper many saltwater fish can live in freshwater when young. That's my .02 on the bumble bee grouper. Can't argue that it is a beautiful fish though, but we'll see how long it can hang in freshwater?
