I have a few questions about sealing my first plywood tank. It has 60 sq. feet, and is 4'x2'x2'

First, what option that will work is the cheapest? Would simply painting it black inside, then adding thin plexi to all sides except the front work? I am putting 3/8" annealed glass in front.

Also, if I am to use any epoxy/resin, how much should I get for 60 sq. feet?

Thanks

Just a thought. You get what you pay for.

I'm in the middle of my build as well. I tried the West System epoxy and it was just ok. I then bought Pond Armor. Pond armor isn't cheap, but I would say I'm a lot more happy with it than regular epoxy. My wife has been nervous during the whole build wondering about the tank leaking. After she helped with the pond armor, she doesn't worry anymore. Pond armor was easier to install as well.

Just my 2 cents.

If you want regular epoxy, go to your nearest West Marine store and they will have everything you need. I think the one quart kit will work for you.

Hope this helps.
