How often is safe to treat a tank with epsom salts? I am treating a flowerhorn with internal parasites (stringy feces) and dosed the tank with 1/4 tsp per ten gallons 2 days ago. When can I dose again?

Thanks for any help!

Use metronidazole instead of epsom salt. You need metro for internal parasites. Is this suspected or confirmed?

I'm almost 100% sure he has int pasites. Almost all feces are transparent/white and stringy and alot of it. He won't eat his favorite pellets at all but will eat bloodworms and frozen plankton. From what I have read on this forum that probably internal parasites. He has been lethargic for 4 days now also. I did an 80% water change Sunday night hoping it would help and he seems a little better but the feces are what worries me. I have some metro I will put in I just was hoping to not have to.

You'll have to use metronidazole for this.

I have already used tetracicline, acriflavine and methrodinazole with my poor green terror that has been with swimming issues from a month now (I am certain that it has swim bladder disorders of some sort). Since the previous medicines have not worked at all, I am trying out Epsom Salt.
