Is a ugly stick 7' medium with a penn fierce 3000 reel loaded with 125 yards of 20lb test fire line good for both heavy freshwater and salt water fishing from a pier thanks.

That should work but id say get some thicker line if you can. Nice reel I was looking at one today and I was about to buy it too.

that will be fine and 20lb fireline will be more than you need for fresh or most inshore saltwater fishing. the fierce is a great value for the money
