What live/fresh/freeze dried fiids are best for the red for the best color and such? right now i have him on freeze dried brine shrimp which he seems to love and oive feeders, im breeding mollies soon as a subsitute to the minnows which obviously are not a bright idea.

I would get it off live even if the feeders are quarenteened and such. Other foods are so much healthier. I used to feed my old red wolf salmon, talapia, hikiri carnivour pellets, and shrimp. He had a fasinating red colour in his fins not to mention a unique blue sheen on his pectoral fins.
