Is it possible to keep a small group of for or five of these guys with upper jaw bichirs leopard ctenopoma and dats? I think wolf fish are my new favorite second to polys and want to try a group in my oddball predator tank. Tank is standard 180 gal lightly planted with tons of manzanita branches criss crossing. Soon to add floating plants such as frogbit or the California legal water sprite if I can get my hands on it.

Hoplyerythrinus unitaniatus (gold wolfish), that species have been known to hunt in pack in the wild so a group of them would be interest to watch at feeding time.
Show me Golds being kept together long term.........
I tried a half dozen. Now I have one. These are one of the only Characins I tried a group of that simply did NOT work. Added dithers, tried different tank sizes, even removed and reintroduced.
I've seen pics of several in a tank but I'm not buying that it worked long term, UNLESS it was a different species of Gold Wolf then I had. Mine simply beat the crap out of the weakest one, repeat.
