Hi guys,

I was out feeding my group tonight and noticed that my other ornatipinnis was missing. Fortunately I found it hiding at the bottom of the tank stand, but as to how long since it got out I do not know. In my 6 years of poly keeping she's the 2nd one to do some escaping (the first was my bigger ornate) and also makes me wonder how she got out as my tank is covered by a secure net. The good news is she's still alive but has her yellow colors have turned to a light shade of red. I washed her with clean water and returned in the tank. Is there any other way that I could help her recuperate? I don't have any anti-stress meds with me right now. I was thinking a water change for a bit? Or will that just add to the stress?

Your best bet is to leave it alone and let nature take it`s course. It`s worked for me every time.

you should do a partial water change, daily. just to keep the water very clean.

just an update, the ornate seems more active than yesterday. there are some kind of skin under it's lower jaw that looks peeled off, might be because of the extended stay outside water. tomorrow when the shops are open it'll be time to resupply the emergency meds here at home
