So i was watching my Guinean bichir today and i realized that this fish has survived more things then any fish Ive had. So ill list in order the times this fish has pretty much become immortal.

1. About 3 months ago my Guinean and ornate were in my 55 at my dads house and somehow the heater had come unplugged. With the room they were in being so cold the temperature of the tank dropped very fast. By the time we found the heater had been unplugged my ornate was dead and my Guinean was near dead too. We slowly added warm water to the tank and after awhile the Guinean slowly recovered from the cold.

2. A little over a month and a half ago my Guinean decided to take a jump out of the 55 he was in. Well lets just say he had probably been on the floor all night after he was found. After getting him unstuck from the carpet we picked up his stiff non moving body and put him in the tank to make sure he was really dead, he wasn't moving so i wrapped him in a paper towel and took him down to the kitchen. On the way downstairs i felt a very very tiny movement in my hand and realized that this fish was not dead. Hurried back upstairs put him in the tank and rocked him back and fourth in the paper towel in the tank until he started breathing again. After about a week he was back to normal (except for a couple scrapes).

3.Then just about 2 weeks ago i lose my 2 sen bichirs and my bowfin to a rusty nail i found in some drift wood in my 75 and this not being as amazing as the other 2 survival times he still made it thru the problem along with my delhezi.

Just thought id share that. Never owned a fish this hardy or lucky!
Anyone else have a fish survive things you didn't think they would make it through?

i guess chuck norris was on ur Guinean bichir's side!! LOL.
