Just looks like an overhyped mineral product to me. I don't think it's much good feeding can't help with...

There's no ingredients listed on their page, just all the "oohs" and "ahhhs" of their product. From that I wouldn't be able to tell you if it's ray safe or not, unless someone manages to find the list somewhere it's still up in the air (or water column) as to how this would work/not work with rays.

Kind of my thoughts as well

Anyone else have any input??

Hi Jim. I think this is similar to some US products fortified with vitamins. The companies generally advertise to add to the water column. I do not believe this adds much benefit. I think through the digestive tract is the best way to deliver vitamins and minerals. I believe they market their products to also be added to the water column, in order to have us consume the product more quickly. Possible sales tactic?

When you think of the amount needed to add to 400+ gallon systems to achieve the desired concentration. Then who knows how long each individual ingredient is stable and if they are truly water soluble when mixed with everything in our tank water. If you have a drip it isn't really a consideration because it's being constantly diluted and drained out. You would have to regularly add the mix, or put it on a drip also. I think with a quality diet they are probably getting everything they need friend.

* Although I do remember a chapter in Dr. Ross's book years back where he added B1 Thiamine specifically to the water column because he was feeding Thiaminase containing foods.

RD. RD. do you mind sharing your knowledge on vitamin and mineral absorption in fish, via the water column? I believe I remember you posting about this semi-recently.

PS: Jim I love your BD's :)

Good info thanks buddy ;-)

I found out recently that you can buy bags of freshwater bait fish from fishing tackle shops, my ray is loving the whole bream, roach, perch (with spines cut off) and has even had salmon smelt at about 6 inches, I think these whole foods are good for the Rays and I add vitamins.
