they don't mind , some fish prefer more the side with more wood and other the more open side . greets
btw my sump is 3/4 size of my tank wicht 3 times in an hour the tank and a 4600l/h current mover so no deadspots and a good oxygen deu good surface current and no dead spots

How'd you manage Discus with an Oscar? lol Have they been together long? Just goes to show sometimes you can break the rules if you know your own fish.
