Hey everyone, yes another "what do I stock" thread. I've got a planted community (65 gal 3' long) ts got a playsand bed, a few river rocks, driftwood and lots of low light plants. The plants are mostly java ferns and anubias attached to wood. It currently houses a few platies, 10 neon tetras, 3 fem. Bettas and 3 cory cats. I love the setup but now that my 40 breeder is cycled, I'd like to move the stock over and start fresh.
This tank is drilled and a sump is plumbed but not currently running. I have an extra Aquaclear 110 cycled and ready to go. This tank is currently filtered by 2 aquaclear powerheads with slip-on mechanical filters.
My ideal fish would be another Oscar, but I'm hesitant in a 3' tank.the tank is 18" wide. Any other larger cichlid possible in here? I've thought about loosing the heater and getting 2 or 3 fancy goldfish. Another thought is get a Better lightsetup, grow more plants and fully stock this community.
If this was your tank, what would you stock for the next year/18 months until I go back to a 75 gal. The stock will upgrade with the tank. I currently do a minimum 50% water change every monday.
