Estarego8 is a fanatical fan of goonch catfish. This guy goes out of his way to learn everything that he can about these fish and help out others. He has several major threads that he's running about them. He's even got the first American import of Borneo Black goonches that should be Stateside early next week if everything goes as planned.

Estarego8 is a valuable member of our community who deserves recognition for his diligence and hard work toward furthering the knowledge base of the community with regards to the genus Bagarius.

I second this nomination, matts a great contributor, if it wasn't for him and rob making those up we really wouldn't have much info to determine which specie is which or even if your goonch is supposed to be in colder temps or not!

I am honestly speechless right now. There are no words that can describe how happy I am to be receiving this nomination! I am crazy for goonch cats and it is no secret. I just take pleasure in sharing my findings and adventures with all of you and nothing makes me happier than seeing others get excited about these fish as well. I would like to give a special thanks for egon as he was the first fellow goonch keeper I had the privilege of talking to and laid the groundwork for which I built my passion for these fish off of. I have nearly dedicated all of my current tanks to these fish and plan to continue my research. I would eventually like to establish a official research facility for these fish down the road and keep them all in simulated environments, but that currently continues to only be a dream of mine. Thank you all for your continued support. It has truly been a learning experience for me as well.
