I wish I could get my pets to pay their way. Have you noticed any color or behavioral changes from feeding them from the garden instead of out of a can?
I fed a shoal of large scats a 1/2 head of cabbage a day plus frozen peas. Could have saved the veggies for the kitchen and fed them wholly from my lawn edges.

Little too soon to notice anything different.
The dandelions just started growing up here, and I started pulling them when the Etroplus ate some java fern down to nubs.

I don't know if its just the greens, or that they seem to also be coming into spawning mode.
And since the temp is getting warmer, I've been doing daily water changes, so maybe all of the above.
