euphoria, pride and the fall

pride, just the previous sunday @ 4mm - 5mm swimming around the tank, eating hikari cichlid gold sinking
Fall
did a water change in the morning,
forgot to switch on the filters again,
the oxygen content went low,
26 fry dead by the time i switched on the filter,
the male was gasping for air, i added some aeration and had two filters churning water.
but by the night fall the male was dead in the tank
and the female isn't eating anything now
this was a disaster.
no problem in water, as i did a water change on all my other 19 tanks and no other tank anything happened.
It was mostly the dead bacteria in the filter that spiked my tank.
as the tank is a 50g which houses only these fish.
these guys were there with me for almost 2 years plus and this really sucks
